A few points come up often enough that they are worth stating plainly. These are the working definitions we use when packing an order, so nothing about sizing, colour or delivery is left to guesswork.
A duvet cover set means one cover plus two pillowcases. Single and three-quarter sizes ship with one pillowcase unless you add a second pair to the cart. Towel bundles are listed separately from bedding, so a guesthouse order can mix both without doubling up on items it already has.
Our fitted sheets are cut for a 40cm wall. If your mattress is a standard 25cm pocket, the sheet will still tuck, just with more fabric under the corner. Extra-length beds and pillow-tops are the reason the deep-pocket range exists, and three-quarter sizing is kept in stock for older Johannesburg flats.
White, stone and charcoal are dyed in small batches, so a shade can read slightly warmer or cooler between restocks. Thread counts on the product page are the woven count, not a marketing figure. Percale is a weave, not a thread count, and it will feel crisper than sateen on the first night.
The care card in each parcel explains the first wash: cold, gentle, line dry. Expect a little lint from new towels, then a stable hand. Measure the mattress wall, not the total height. Standard beds sit around 25cm, pillow-top and extra-length mattresses often reach 35 to 40cm. Our deep-pocket sheet is cut with a 40cm wall and full-perimeter elastic, so it stays tucked on the thicker ones. Three-quarter beds in older flats are listed separately.
Yes. We list the count as woven, not as a marketing figure. Percale sits in a mid range that breathes well in summer and layers under a duvet in winter. If a count looks lower than a competitor's, check whether theirs is single-ply or multi-ply before comparing.
Fabric comes from mills in Pakistan and Portugal, then gets cut and stitched in Gauteng. That local step is why a restock usually lands quickly instead of waiting on a full container. White and stone move fastest, charcoal takes a little longer.
Build the cart bedroom by bedroom, then add a bundle for a spare room if you keep one made up. Towels are matched to the bedding colours so a linen cupboard stays consistent. Larger guesthouse and small lodge orders are packed together rather than split across parcels.
